Jaclyn

Jaclyn Miles is a highly accomplished and in-demand Brisbane based harpist.  She has established herself as an esteemed solo performer, chamber and orchestral musician.

After many years of playing the piano, Jaclyn decided to pursue a childhood dream of learning the harp and in 2012 she embarked on her studies at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of world-renowned harpist, Sebastien Lipman - entering under the Lipman Harp Scholarship.

Jaclyn enjoys a busy freelance career, performing regularly with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Cadenza Chamber Players. She has also made guest appearances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Darwin Symphony Orchestra.

A highlight of Jaclyn's musical journey has been performing regularly as a soloist with the Cadenza Chamber Players, an emerging professional chamber ensemble. With Cadenza she has performed gems such as the Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto,  Debussy Dances Sacree et Profane, Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez and many other orchestral and musical theatre delights.

Jaclyn has a passion for teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities and helping to foster a love of music. She has been honing her craft for over 7 years and enjoys the uniqueness that each student brings to every lesson.

We have had Jaclyn teaching our little one both piano and harp for a while now. I am very pleased so far as I can appreciate how challenging it can be teaching a 6 year old.
A great music teacher for all ages is someone who not only possesses the relevant skills but also showcases patience, love and care for the students and the ability to tailor the lessons to suit individual needs!

I highly recommend Jaclyn for anyone looking for a piano or harp teacher!
